Getting started

How do I start a new chat?

Use the search bar at the top of Chats, pick a contact, or tap the + button on mobile to open New chat.

How do I send photos, videos, or voice notes?

Tap the + or attachment icon in the message box. Choose Gallery, Camera, Document, or hold the mic button for a voice note.

How do I make voice or video calls?

Open a chat and use the phone or video icons in the header. Allow microphone and camera permissions when prompted.

Privacy & security

How do I set a chat MPIN lock?

Go to Settings → Security and enable Chat MPIN. You will be asked for a 4-digit code when opening chat.

How do I block someone?

Open the chat menu (⋮) → Block user, or go to Settings → Privacy → Blocked contacts.

Who can see my last seen and profile photo?

Control this under Settings → Privacy for each option (Everyone, Contacts, Nobody).

Chats & groups

How do I delete a chat?

Long-press a chat in the list → Delete chat, or use Select chats to delete multiple at once.

How do I create or join a group?

Go to Chats → Groups tab to create a group. Join via an invite link shared by a group admin.

How do I post a status update?

Open Updates from the bottom navigation and tap the camera or text icon to create a status.
